ABOUT
Studio Vallbo is an art and design studio based in Stockholm. The studio is run by Erik Vallbo (b.1980) with a MFA in design from Konstfack.
Studio Vallbo explores how nature can interact with technology in immersive ways. The idea is to present alternative visions about our relationship with nature. Works include sculpture, research based experimental design and site-specific art. The intention is to create playfulness and curiosity around objects and places. Projects often materialize through sound, light, movement and chance. Our intention is to find stories/narratives that relate to where the project or object will be situated. We hope to create awareness and curiosity so that visitors can gather and experience nature in new ways.
Projects can be experimental, conceptual or commercial but always with the intention to create uniqueness. Studio Vallbo mainly works with site-specific commissions, studio production, small scale series and limited editions.
