EN ODYSSÉ
Sockerbruksparken, Ängelholm, 2025
Material: Steel, lights
Public art commission for Ängelholms kommun, Sweden.
Five columns are positioned in different directions throughout the park, serving as memorials to the railway’s far-reaching adventures. The rusty and scarred rail is an archive of imprints, bearing traces of the people and goods that once traveled along its spine.
The large and powerful welds are deliberately visible to showcase the craftsmanship behind the design. The columns form portals into the park, a nod to the cluster of nightclubs that once occupied the area—places where time and space were experienced differently. AN ODYSSEY is a tribute to those who dare to venture far and long, in the hope of finding what they seek.
